well after culinary school, years as chef, and countless hours carving linoleum blocks with a triangle blade, i finally cut my hand…washing a dish. 13 stitches. 4 inside to repair severed blood vessels, 9 outside to close up the wound. part of the tendon was severed so i can’t use it for 6 weeks. No printmaking for awhile. I’m going to try to work on my drawing and painting skills these next few weeks since my dominate hand is okay.

Today’s the day. The day you help save the internet from being ruined.

Ready?

Yes, you are, and we’re ready to help you.

(Long story short: The FCC is about to make a critical decision as to whether or not internet service providers have to treat all traffic equally. If they choose wrong, then the internet where anyone can start a website for any reason at all, the internet that’s been so momentous, funny, weird, and surprising—that internet could cease to exist. Here’s your chance to preserve a beautiful thing.)

If you’ve been thinking about buying a Killmonkies shirt, now is the time to do it! Go to http://www.killmonkies.com/archives/1859 to buy a shirt. All profits go towards buying the monkies a small vinyl plotter and heat press for making t-shirts.

Killmonkies make art with the opposable thumbs on their hands and feet. The artwork, tho interesting, is still made by monkies, and can be a bit crude. The monkies are ready to up their game and get some professional equipment, a small vinyl plotter and heat press for making t-shirts. This fundraiser should help them make that purchase. Fundraiser ends Tuesday September 30.
